Our Story
The Soundpost Sessions is a concert series dedicated to nurturing the Colorado music community through intimate, high-fidelity listening experiences. Our events showcase primarily original acts, ranging from local talents to touring artists. Initially hosted at La Vita Bella Café in Downtown Longmont from March 2019, the series transitioned in Summer 2021 to Longmont Public Media, located in the historic Carnegie Library building at 457 4th Ave. Here, our shows were recorded before a live studio audience for broadcast.
Spring 2022 marked a significant expansion to The Times Collaborative in downtown Longmont, providing enhanced accommodations for our growing audience. By Winter 2024, The Times Collaborative became our regular venue for monthly concerts, featuring carefully curated, full-length performances by two distinct artists.
In 2024, we proudly introduced Mixtape, a monthly songwriter-in-the-round series held on Thursday evenings at The Times Collaborative.
Our commitment to Colorado’s music scene is unwavering. With the generous support of patrons, sponsors, and donors, Soundpost Sessions actively supports the local music economy by ensuring fair compensation for every artist we showcase. We are passionate about music and dedicated to celebrating our vibrant local talent.
Our Mission
Enriching lives through the power of music, Soundpost Sessions is dedicated to fostering community, cultural vibrancy, and personal growth. Through captivating performances and accessible musical experiences, we aim to inspire, educate, and unite local audiences.
Our Vision
Soundpost Sessions seeks to bridge local and touring music scenes by pairing one local artist or band with a touring artist or band for every performance, while also ensuring fair compensation to artists. These initiatives not only promote artistic exchange and collaboration but also fosters a deeper connection between local communities and the national music scene. We strive to create enduring connections and transformative moments that resonate far beyond the music hall, elevating the human spirit through the universal language of music.
